1 compliment vs a bag of complaints.
hey hey mr bloggie!!! i'm back from MIA-ing!!!! 1 freaking week of brain torture and now its over and i can rest... haha.
so what have i been doing last week you ask??? working at indoor stadium for disney live laa!! and this time no more show watching and full time slave to miss surina cos i was not assigned at the novelty toys this time, like the previous shows. instead i became the food table girl, with miss surina as my partner. and she torture me by making me count money and stocks 3 times per show. and its all that jing wang's fault. i found out she's more crazier then the last time she worked, which is during The Amazing Journey. she purposely put me at the food table when she saw my face.
-_- but like i said, she's crazier this time so its quite fun whenever she's around.
and why do i say counting money and stocks a torture??? imagine counting up to $2000 worth of cash with your hands. yes its fun to hold that amount of money for the 1st time. but when you have to constantly make sure that there's no shortage, its brain damaging. and that amount of money doesn't consists of $50 notes only you know. it also consists of $10, $5, $2 notes as well as $1 coins. imaging counting all that. and also the stocks. not just 1 type of food we sell. we sell up to 9 types of stuffs, like popcorns in buckets and small boxes, candy floss in small and big bags, 3 types of novelty cups including ice and syrup that we have to prepare for those rich spoilt brats, ugly sports bottles and also the not so nice giant lollipops. imagine counting all those things one by one.
and even with calculator, miss surina can count wrongly. 3 multipy by 4 can amazingly results to 42. i was shocked when she say our bank was short by so much. so i had to recheck her calculations, 1st by counting the stocks again and then check the multiplication. and when i found out the error, i almost want to throw ice with red syrup at her. i was already sleepy cos we didn't have enough sleep and was hungry and was just plain tired after counting money, and she have to make such a mistake. tsk. but like i said before, both of us were damn hungry so yea, mistakes happen.
and because of the constant counting, i didn't get to watch the whole show. i didn't get to watch snow white and cinderella in action because we started counting as soon as the show started. so i only get to enjoy the songs. and then after the intermission i did not get to see the prince put the glass slippers on cinderella's feet either, due to the same reason. but i chop2 count so i got to watch the second part of beauty and the beast. the lighting effects was awesome laa!!! i bet the whole show was cool. damn.
and i had to wear a very hideous hat and apron instead of a cute vest. altough its purple, the color i like, its still hideous. and i have to wear a glove, which is too big for my cute small hand. very very irritating. i have no time to people gaze cos i have to keep a constant watch of itchy hand kids and parents. they just have to touch everything that they see. bloody people.
but i was lucky i was assigned at the food table with my cousin cos she was more experienced and knows what to do. i was totally lost on the 1st day, that i don't even know what to do at all. but luckily we didn't have shortage at all. phew. but after that day i got the hang of things, including working with a super kanchiong cousin. and also i am glad that i got the food table cos the novelty stand operators are all ladies, and they are all abit eccentric. no hot brazilian, spanish or whatever. all of them were assigned to be behind the scene people. even mike, my partner during Amazing Journey, became the in-charge of the popcorns. so yea. haha.
and for this show also, all the boys have a nickname from me. haha. but i must give a big praise for a'an cos although he's famous for having powerful vocals when he joined the Anugerah Band competition, he is humble and down to earth. and whenever we tease him about his popularity, he would just smile and very very paiseh.
so yea, the question to who will give me high blood pressure for the whole week on my post dated 17 november is definitely miss surina for making me do all the counting, although she did the same amount of counting. and also mr mas suryadi, for making the popcorns damn salty. haha.
oh i just found out that men do suffer from menopause like women. and its not called menopause. its called andropause. (n_n)
